I'm a long time visitor to Nepal and am starting to put together some plans to come back again this spring. My partner and I are thinking about doing the Manaslu Circuit. Can you give me the following information:
1) Cost of a jeep from Dharapani back to Kathmandu
2) Cost of a jeep from Kathmandu to Soti Khola (any possibility in early April to share this?)
3) Can you arrange Manaslu permits, and how long does it take to get all permits?
4) Cost of porter, also cost of guide...I believe we can choose either porter or guide for this trek.
Transportation from Kathmandu to sotikhola by four wheel jeep cost Rs. 25000 NPR. Similarly,Jeep from Dharapani to kathmandu cost Rs. 30000 NPR.
Suggestion for the Cheap transportation :
Kathmandu to Arkhet by bus then 1 hours walk to Sotikhola. you can reach same day from Kathmandu. Dharapani to Besisahar by Local Jeep cost around $25 usd per person.
Manaslu trekking permit time( is possible same day permit or no?)
Immigration office Provide the Manaslu trekking from Sunday to Friday.From 10 Am to 3 Pm.At the time of the issuing permit need a original passport. so at the time of your arrival if there are still official time, then same day you arrival you can get the Manaslu trekking. Before you coming to Nepal, just you send scanned copy of your passport,and PP size 4 copy photo. if your flight coming better to go immigration office at Kalikasthan for showing the original passport. or we take the passport there , just you take your time. As you already experience in Nepal ,so, if have time better to go sotikhola by jeep same day as well as. if time and situation permitted.
